Nokia’s plans to replace Symbian with MeeGo are well-known. So far, the MeeGo alliance was made up of two companies: Intel and the aforementioned finns. AMD has now announced that it wants to join the MeeGo project (which was founded by Nokia and Intel): – At the MeeGo Conference 2010, AMD (NYSE: AMD) today announced it has joined The Linux Foundation’s MeeGo open source Linux project, and will provide engineering expertise intended to help establish the technical foundations for next-generation mobile platforms and embedded devices.
